THROW OUT SOME OF THE THINGS THAT WE DO NOT NEED IN OUR LIVES

A teacher once asked his students, “Children, we need some drinking water, however, in the midst of boiling the water, we realised that we do not have enough firewood.  What should we do?”   There are some students who said that they should go look for some firewood, others said that they should borrow some and there are also those who said they should go buy some.  The teacher responded, “Children, why did it never occur to you that we could pour away some of the water in the pot?”  There is no perfection in this world.  It is impossible for all things to turn out according to what one wishes.  Only when we give up something, we will gain.  Throw away some of the things that we do not need in our lives and we may be presented with what we truly need.  At times, our affection, confidante and hope are close-at-hand; in seeking, it is needless for us to travel a thousand miles.
