[From the Editor] The following is an extract from “The Art of Applying Comprehensive Metaphysics” radio program which aired on 14th March 2014. The caller told Master Lu that a follower’s son is now able to talk after the mother started to perform recitations for him. Also, after she offered Little Houses to untie karmic knots, she was able to mend her broken family such that her and husband improved their relationship and her mother-in-law finally approved of her and invited her over for dinner. All these incredible changes have made the follower happy but she is now afraid of being hurt again. Furthermore, Master Lu instructed us that when good things occur, do not slow ourselves down to think about what the positive or negative outcomes may be as eventually we learn to let these bad things go through our diligent cultivations.

Caller: The follower experienced a lot of worrying problems before she started practising the Guan Yin Citta Dharma Door. Shortly after she started following Master Lu’s Buddhist teaching, her four year old son said his first words. Also, at the time, she was in a bad place with her husband as they had been arguing and fighting for a year and were very close to signing the divorce papers. But she still fostered a hope that her marriage would work out as she had complete faith in the Guan Yin Bodhisattva and was diligent in performing her recitations. When she told me her story, I taught her to untie her karmic knots by offering Little Houses and something amazing happened after she burnt the Little Houses. At that time, she had been married to her husband for 17 years but her mother-in-law had never approved of her. However, on New Year’s Eve, her mother-in-law invited the family over for dinner which caused her to become a bit afraid. She would like to ask you what she can do to adjust her mood.

Master Lu: There is nothing to be adjusted. She should be happy! This outcome is better than a divorce! Is it not good to be happy?

Caller: She is happy but she is also afraid that she might get hurt again.

Master Lu: No, she will not. She has already experienced the worst thing that could happen in this situation. How much worse can it get? People always worry too much about the positive and negative outcomes and do not fully experience the good things that occur.
