GREED WILL EASILY LEAD A PERSON TO MAKING ILLICIT GAINS
From which aspect Buddhist cultivators are most likely to succumb to illicit gains?
Master Jun Hong Lu:
Greed! It is most vital that, as Buddhist cultivators, we must overcome our sense of greed. Constantly examine ourselves, “Have I been greedy?” When we are having a meal, ask ourselves “Am I greedy?”. Is it proper to eat more? When we are dressing up, ask ourselves, “Do I really need fine clothing?” Practise restraint. As soon as we detect that our sense of greed is surfacing, be vigilant right away. We will then be able to overcome the greed.
